CBI grills 16-year-old in Ryan school murder case
New Delhi : After a local court in Gurugram sent a 16-year-old accused into CBI custody, the officials started questioning him on Thursday. Initial investigation has found that he killed Pradyuman with a motive to get examinations postponed.
The alleged culprit teen has confessed to his crime in front of his father and an independent eyewitness, said CBI official.
"The accused has been examined four times by us. We have even recorded his statement before magistrate, which is admissible in court," reveals a senior CBI officer who is handling the probe.
Seven year old Pradyuman Thakur was found dead with his throat slit in a toilet of Ryan International School, Gurugram. He was murdered 15 minutes after his father dropped him to school with his elder sister.
On parents' request, the Haryana government had transferred the case to CBI who started their investigations from September 29.
The CBI team paid a visit to the crime spot and checked CCTV footage thoroughly to find out that a Class XI student may be involved in the murder.
