New Delhi : Objectionable bathroom videos of girls from Chandigarh University have been leaked online, traumatising many victims, including one who attempted suicide in her room. The authorities are investigating the matter and the police has detained one girl alleged of sharing the videos with her boyfriend.

The university, however, has came to rescue the girl and said that she has not shared the videos on public domains.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also reacted to the news and ordered a high level enquiry in the matter. "Sad to hear about the incident of Chandigarh University. Our daughters are our pride. I have ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident. Strict action will be taken against whoever is guilty. I am constantly in touch with the administration. I appeal to all of you to avoid rumours," said the CM.

Meanwhile, students at Chandigarh University have launched a massive protest, saying that the videos were made when girls took a bath and the objectionable videos have been made viral on the social media.
