Come together to help and support flood-hit Bihar and Assam: Sachin Pilot

New Delhi : Sachin Pilot, who has revolted against his own party in Rajasthan, on Saturday appealed people to come together and support the flood-hit states Bihar and Assam where human lives have been affected badly.

"My thoughts and prayers with all those families affected by the Assam and Bihar floods. Over 68 lives lost and 3.6 million people affected in Assam alone. I appeal to all Indians, to come together, join in the efforts to help support those affected in these extreme flood situations," he tweeted.

Sachin Pilot was recently sacked from his Deputy Chief Minister's post in Rajasthan after he refused to take calls and skipped meetings called by Ashok Gehlot over a notice in which he was asked to join the probe linked to an alleged conspiracy to topple the state government.

According to a news report, it has been learned that Mr Gehlot was continuously demanding the Chief Minister post in the state. And he was reluctant on meeting Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi till his demands were met.

Meanwhile, Mr Gehlot has directly alleged Mr Pilot of being involved in horse trading.
