Congress asks PM Modi to come forward and address nation over exit plan
New Delhi : Congress on Saturday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come forward and address the nation to enlighten the countrymen about his coronavirus lockdown exit plan and revival of economic situation in India.
Raising questions on when will the lockdown will end in India, Congress' chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that PM Modi must lay an exit plan.
"Will we see another lockdown? When will the lockdown finally end? The Prime Minister must come forward and address 130 crore Indians and enlighten them on the way ahead," he told reporters at a press briefing through video-conferencing.
He also blamed that the Centre is not treating the migrants in a humane or compassionate manner. He said that the migrants must be ferried in sanitized trains till their destination for free.
