Congress CWC meet: Sonia Gandhi speaks out, blasts PM Modi

Ahmedabad : UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of playing politics over terror attacks for electoral gains. “People of the country are getting victimised but PM Modi pretends to be the victim himself,” Sonia Gandhi reportedly said during the key CWC meet ahead of Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

The Congress party kick-started its campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls with a high-profile strategic meeting in Narendra Modi's Gujarat. Later in the day, the newly appointed Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi is expected to address her first public rally at Adalaj town in Gandhinagar.

Speaking to a news agency, a party leader said,”We are expecting a crowd of over three lakh people in the home turf of Modi and BJP president Amit Shah ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.”

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Congress and said that even Mahatma Gandhi wanted Congress to be disbanded especially after 1947 because he understood the party’s culture very well.
