Coronavirus cases decline further, 1.27 Lakh new cases in last 24 hours

New Delhi : India is showing a continuous decline in the number of new coronavirus cases for the past four consecutive days. In last 24 hours, the nation has registered around 1.27 lakh new cases; 2,795 people lost their lives in the same amount of time.

This is also the lowest daily surge in the number of new coronavirus cases in last 54 days. The active caseload has also declined by 1,30,572 in the last 24 hours to stand at 18,95,520. A total of 2,55,287 recovered from coronavirus and were discharged during the same time span.

2,59,47,629 people have recovered from coronavirus till date and 21,60,46,638 people have been vaccinated against the deadly virus so far.

On Monday, India had recorded 1.50 lakh new cases; on Sunday it was 1.65 lakh cases.
