Noida : Amid rising number of coronavirus cases, a district in Uttar Pradesh has imposed section 144 from May 1 to May 31 and made wearing of face masks mandatory in public places.

Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner issued an order saying that no protest or hunger strikes will be allowed without the permission of higher authorities. Organising puja and offering of Namaz in public places will not be allowed.

He also ordered to follow the coronavirus SOPs at public places. Following are some of the important points from the order.

No one should be allowed to conduct any protests or hunger strike without the permission of the higher authorities

Organising puja and offering of Namaz in public places will not be allowed

Social distancing in schools during the exams has to be maintained with proper Covid-19 guidelines

Use of loudspeakers on the premises and nearby areas of the exam centres have also been barred

Shopkeepers will not be allowed to sell or rent any loudspeaker or any such equipment to anyone without permission from the higher authorities

The number of coronavirus cases have been rising in the Delhi and NCR region. Recently, wearing masks were made mandatory in the national capital.
