Coronavirus Vaccination: Book a slot these simple tips and tricks

New Delhi : India officially started its vaccination program for people above 18 years of age on May 1, but days after it has been reported that people are facing enough issues to secure an available slot for vaccination. The vaccine slot can be booked through dedicated CoWin application or Aarogya Setu app, both managed by the government.

It has been seen that most of the vaccination centers do not have a booking slot for unavailability of the vaccine. Here are some of the simple tips and tricks which can get you a confirmed booking slot for vaccination.

# A Pune-based man has started a portal Under45.in, it provides district-wise updates on vacant vaccine slots via Telegram channels. Another such platform, named Getjab.in, sends alerts via email.

# Online Payment application – PayTm – has also started a service called vaccine finder.

# The subscribers of the 'My Government Corona Helpdesk' bot can get WhatsApp updates on vaccine centres. It, however, doesn't alert about the available vaccination slots.

# Some of the people also told us a simple hack with which they were able to book a slot. Do not find a vaccination center with your pin code, instead opt for State and District finder and then book the nearest slot. A smart newsheads reader Ruchika Gupta shared this trick with us. She got her first dose of vaccine last week.

# Some of the other users have notified that the best time to find a vaccination slot is 6 pm to 11 pm. Get ready to play fastest fingers first in this time slot.

Currently, India is registering more than 3 lakh coronavirus cases daily for more than three weeks. The only solution to recover from the second wave is vaccination.
