New Delhi : Delhi Commission for Women Chief Swati Maliwal on Thursday claim that she was dragged by a car while she was inspecting the security situation for women in the national capital. Taking her ordeal to the social media account, she claimed that a car driver had molested her and when she tried to get hold of him. He locked her hand in the car window and tracked her for 10 to 15 metres.

Writing a tweet in Hindi, Maliwal said "Last night, she was inspecting the situation of security for women in Delhi. A car driver came and molested her in and in inebriated condition and when she tried to catch hold of him. The man locked her hand in the car window and dragged her. By God grace, her life was saved."

She also mentioned that if the Chairperson for Women Commission is not safe in the national capital. Then imagine the situation for normal women.

According to a news report, Swati Maliwal was dragged for around 10 to 15 metres at around 3:11 AM, opposite AIIMS delegate number 2.

The accused man has been arrested. And further investigation has been initiated in the matter.
