Delhi reduces coronavirus restrictions, weekend curfew ends
New Delhi : DDMA today held a meeting to discuss the current coronavirus situation in Delhi; the meeting was attended by CM Arvind Kejriwal, LG Anil Baijal and others. The authorities have decided to do away the weekend curfew and odd-even rules on shops.
The restaurants and cinemas have been allowed to open at 50 per cent capacity. The total number of guests at the weddings has been increased to 200 from 20.
It must be noted that only weekend curfew has been scrapped off, night curfew from 10 PM to 5 AM will continue till further orders.
The government offices have also been allowed to open at 50 per cent staff capacity.
Meanwhile, schools in Delhi will remain closed till further orders. Manish Sisodia had earlier said that the Delhi government would prefer to reopen the schools as it is leaving a bad impact on student's mental health.
Delhi has registered a dip in the new coronavirus infections and positivity rate.
