New Delhi : Delhi has been shamed once again for letting a man crave for help on street for no less than 14 hours, and to make it worse the nearby opted to loot his belongings instead of providing help or even call an ambulance.

35-year-old Narendra met with an accident in north Delhi’s Civil Lines. He sustained injuries to his backbone and was not able to move. He was lying on the road for close to 14 hours but no one helped him, police said, adding, rather than helping him, a man snatched away his money.

Next morning a police gypsy spotted him lying on the side of the road and provided the assistance. The victim has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital and his life has been saved by the god's grace.

Police have registered an FIR and are probing the matter.
