Andhra Pradesh: Devotee offers IPhone 6S smartphone to God in Vijayawada
Hyderabad : A devotee in Vijayawada dropped a brand new iPhone 6S smartphone in the donation box at a temple in Mopidevi in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.
The iPhone 6s smartphone was recovered by temple staff when they opened the donation box to count offerings from the devotees. The temple staff speculates that the devotee might have started a mobile phone business and dropped the iPhone 6s in donation box to appease the god.
This has been reported for the first time when someone has dropped a smartphone in the donation box. The temple committee has now decided to write to the government seeking a way out to deal with the gift.
According to temple rules, any electrical device found in the donation box must be buried, claimed temple superintendent, A Madhusudhan.
The temple, which is located about 65 km away from Vijayawada, witness a heavy footfall of devotees. It is believed that the rituals related to ‘Sarpa Dosha Nivarana’, ‘Ketu Dosha Pooja’ and ‘Anapathya Dosha’ are performed by the devotees at the temple on a large scale.
