New Delhi : In a major relief to the people of India, domestic airline carriers are likely to resume their services in coming six days. According to a news report, the Civil Aviation Ministry could make a final announcement in this regard by Wednesday.

Speaking about the matter, the AAI has claimed that they are ready to resume the services but that can be done only after the approval from the government. Notably, the AAI, works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It owns and manages more than 100 airports across the country.

The report comes hours after a team visited Delhiā€™s Indira Gandhi Airport to check on how ready is the airport to resume the services for the passengers.

Ever since the country imposed lockdown to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, all domestic and international commercial passenger flights have been suspended.  Aviation is among the worst-affected sectors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

There have been several reports which have claimed different travel advisories for the passengers who will be boarding flights after the lockdown ends.

The travellers will be asked to download the Aarogya Setu app mandatorily. Apart from that it will be compulsory for the passengers to wear face cover and undergo screening at departure and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the flights.
