Donald Trump's second tweet in Hindi is special for India

Ahmedabad : The US President Donald Trump posted the second tweet in Hindi soon after he addressed p packed stadium in Ahmedabad, saying that he and the first lady has travelled 8000 miles to deliver a message that America loves India.

In his address, he had described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his special friend and quipped: "He is a great leader. Everybody loves him, but he's very tough."

"The First Lady and I travelled 8,000 miles around the world to deliver a message to every citizen of this country. America loves India, America respects India and America's people will always remain loyal friends with India's people," Trump tweeted in Hindi. 

Here's the Hindi text of Mr Trump's tweet: ""Pratham Mahila (First Lady) aur main iss desh ke har nagarik ko ek Sandesh dene ke liye duniya ka 8,000 miles ka chakkar laga kar aaya hai. Amercai Bharat kop rem karta hai - America Bharat ko sammaan karta hai - aur America ke log hamesha Bharat ke logo ke sacche aur nishtavan dost rahenge."

Earlier, the US President had tweeted while he was on his way to Ahmedabad. "We are eager to visit India. We are on our way, will see you all in a few hours," said his tweet in Hindi script.

PM Modi reciprocated in Hindi, tweeting the Sanskrit phrase: "Atithi Devo Bhava (guest is god)".

He landed in India a little before noon in PM Modi's home state Gujarat.
