Dr. K. A. Paul condemns arms deals and war rhetoric, calls for Global Day of Prayer and peace

New Delhi : At a press conference in New Delhi, internationally recognized peace ambassador Dr. K. A. Paul issued a searing indictment of global leaders, particularly U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing them of fueling conflict for profit while failing to uphold even the most basic standards of peace diplomacy.

Dr. Paul claimed that Trump personally accepted what he described as a $400 million bribe in the form of a private jet from the Emir of Qatar, allegedly in return for shielding the Gulf nation’s actions and ensuring continued arms supplies. “Is America for sale?” Dr. Paul asked, sharply criticizing the  president for prioritizing weapons sales over humanitarian intervention in conflict zones like Gaza.

While India and Pakistan teetered on the brink of war in the past, Dr. Paul revealed his behind-the-scenes efforts to de-escalate tensions. “Trump didn’t stop the India-Pakistan war—God and I did,” he stated. He accused the  U.S. leader of being absent when moral courage was most needed, pointing to his Trillion -dollar arms deals with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. “They are scared of ending up like Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein,” Dr. Paul said. “Is this a mafia fee for protection?”

The conference was attended by leaders from Hindu, Sikh, Chrstian Buddhist, and Muslim communities, underscoring the message of religious unity. Among them were Anand S. Jondhale, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and President, Buddhist International Forum for Peace, and Ashrafi Akbar Ali, a prominent Muslim leader. The gathering concluded with a unified call to make May 24 a day of peace from India to the world.

Dr. Paul also criticized Indian airline Indigo for allegedly blocking his travel to peace summits in Turkey, calling it a dangerous example of political interference stifling humanitarian outreach.

Amid these stark accusations, Dr. Paul called on the global community to come together for a 24-hour Global Day of Prayer and Peace from 6 PM on May 24 to 6 PM on May 25, inviting people across faiths to pause for at least five minutes of prayer for peace in their homes, places of worship, and public spaces.

He also made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and opposition leaders to rise above party lines and lead by example, reaffirming India’s legacy as the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel, a moral beacon for global peace.

"India can take care of India," Dr. Paul emphasized, calling it the largest and most promising democracy on the planet, capable of leading a united front for peace.
