New Delhi : A passenger on Delhi-Bengaluru Indigo Flight has been booked for allegedly attempting to open the emergency door flap mid-air in the influence of alcohol.

According to the release, the incident happened on Friday at 7:56 AM aboard flight number 6E 308. 

For those who are not aware, airline cabin crew generally tells passengers about the safety and regulations and gives clear instruction on the emergency exit in case it is required.

The airline has clearly stated that a passenger travelling on flight 6E 308 from Delhi to Bengaluru tried to open the flap of the emergency exit in an inebriated state. As soon as it was noticed, the crew onboard alerted the captain and the passenger was appropriately cautioned. There was no compromise on the safety of the operation of the flight, the airline mentioned.

Later, upon landing, the drunk passenger was handed over to the CISF officials in Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru. An FIR has also been registered against the passenger at the airport police station.

This is not the first time when a passenger has done such a thing recently in a Mumbai-bound Indigo flight had tried to remove the cover of emergency exit by the aircraft was in mid-air.
