New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday appeared before the Delhi Rouse Avenue court via video conference seeking exemption from physical appearances for the day as Budget session is going on and the confidence motion called by him in the assembly.

Shri Arvind Kejriwal was supposed to appear before the Delhi Court under the summons issued to him on a complaint filed by Enforcement Directorate for not turning up for questioning by the agency.

Appearing via videoconferencing, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal told the court that due to ongoing confidence motion discussion in the Delhi Assembly and the ongoing budget session, he cannot appear before the court physically. The court has listed the matter for March 16.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had asked Aam Aadmi Party Chief Shri Arvind Kejriwal to appear before the court on February 17 after ED filed complaint against him for not appearing over the summons.

Enforcement directorate had moved to the court after Arvind Kejriwal did not appear for questioning in the last five summons issued by the probe agency in Delhi liquor policy linked money laundering case.
