Eliminated JeM leader behind Pulwama attack within 100 hours: Indian Army

Pulwama : Indian Army eliminated the Jaish-e-Mohammad leader, who planned the deadly Pulwama attack on CRPF personnel on February 14, within 100 hours, said Lt Gen KS Dhillon, 15 Corps Commander, at a press briefing in Srinagar on Tuesday.

A major and three soldiers were martyred as the Indian Army took on Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists, fighting in a 17-hour long encounter on Monday.

Lt Gen KS Dhillon also alleged that the Pulwama terrorist attack on the CRPF personnel was conrolled by the Pakistan's spy agency ISI.

“We were tracking the Jaish-e-Mohammed leadership. We are happy to inform that we eliminated the Jaish leadership in the Valley, which was controlled by Pakistan in less than 100 hours after the Pulwama attack,” said Lt Gen KS Dhillon.

The three Jaise-e-Mohammad terrorist who were killed in the encounter have been identified as Kamran, a Pakistani and a top commander of the Jaish who was operating in Pulwama region and a key aide of Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Pakistan-based chief Masood Azhar. The other terrorists who were killed in the encounter were Hilal Ahmad a local Kashmiri bomb specialist, and Rashid, who hails from Pakistan.
