Exit Polls predict big win for AAP in Delhi, solid gain for BJP

New Delhi : Exit Polls were out soon after the voting concluded in Delhi on Saturday evening, predicting a win for Aam Aadmi Party and a solid gain in numbers for the BJP.

While one of the exit polls gave Aam Aadmi Party 68 seats, none of the results gave less than 44 seats to Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party in the recently concluded Assembly Election. The actual result will be declared on February 11.

All the exit polls gave AAP a percentage share of more than 50 per cent which means that they are likely to form the government again in Delhi with ease. They also forecasted a wipeout of Congress with no seat.

If the results projected by the exit polls turn out to be true then it shows that the BJP's approach to focus Shaheen Bagh for election pitch had limited success. BJP functionaries have claimed that the results would be different on February 11 and they will come to power in the national capital.

The Times Now-IPSOS gave AAP 44-46 seats with a vote share just above 50%. It gave BJP between 20 to 26 seats, three times the number they got in 2015.

India Today-My Axis poll gave AAP 59-68 seats and projected 2-11 seats for BJP.

Meanwhile, ABP News C Voter poll gave AAP 51-65 seats and 17 seats to BJP.

All of the exit polls awarded zero seats to Congress.
