New Delhi : Three-day expo, jointly organized by "Krishika"- a unit of Writers N Creators and Bihar Animal Sciences University, is set to take place at Khel Maidan of the University at Patna from December 21 to 23. The mega event is majorly supported by the Bihar Department of Animal and Fisheries Resources and COMFED.

The main attractions of the expo include a milking competition and a breed competition. The milking competition on December 21 will feature both domestic and foreign breeds, with prizes for cows producing over 20 liters of milk for foreign breeds and over 10 liters for domestic cows. The total prize money includes 51,000 INR for the first prize, 21,000 INR for the second prize, and five encouragement awards of 11,000 INR each in both categories.

On December 22, the breed competition will award first and second prizes to the best breeds in both domestic and foreign categories. Similar to the milking competition, there are also five encouragement awards of 11,000 INR each in both categories.

Farmers and cattle owners from every corner of Bihar are preparing for this never-before-seen fair in the state, bringing their animals with joy and enthusiasm to participate in the competitions. Notably, farmers from other states are also joining with their livestock. Golu 2, the famous Murrah bull from Golu Dairy Farm owned by Padma Shri awardee farmer Narendra Singh, has garnered excitement as it arrived at the Expo site on Tuesday evening.

The grand inauguration ceremony on December 21 at 12:30 PM will be attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav as a special guest, and the event will be presided over by Animal and Fisheries Resources Minister Mohammad Afaque Alam. The ceremony will witness the presence of high-ranking officials from the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, COMFED, and Bihar Animal Sciences University, along with the university's vice chancellor Dr. Rameshwar Singh and several other dignitaries.

Various companies related to the dairy and cattle industry are setting up stalls at the event, alongside stalls from the department, university, and COMFED. This is the first-of-its-kind event in the state, showcasing active participation from people in every field related to animal husbandry, portraying a glimpse of Bihar's promising future.
