Farmers protesting unnecessarily: Haryana CM

New Delhi : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar courted a controversy on Saturday by terming the protest by farmers as 'unnecessary'.
While talking to a news agency ANI, he claimed that farmers are causing loses only to themselves by not selling their produce.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Minister for Agriculture, Balkrishna Patidar, said, “Its 2nd June today, where is the strike happening? No farmers are participating in the strike. Farmers are happy with the schemes CM has launched for them. They have faith that state¢ral govt will solve their problems.”

Demanding waiver of loans, thousands of farmers had initiated a 10-day protest Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana under a banner Kisan Ekta Manch and Rashtriya Kisan Maha Sangh.
