Fashion Designer and her servant stabbed to death in Delhi Vasant Kunj

New Delhi : A 53-year-old fashion designer and her 50-year-old servant were found murdered inside her Vasant Kunj Enclave home in Delhi today morning.

Initial investigation by police confirms that the two were stabbed with knives late last night. They were found on the floor, blood pooled around them, when a police team arrived early Thursday.

Mala Lakhani, the deceased fashion designer was the owner of a boutique in Green Park, Delhi.

The shocking incident came to light at around 3 am when the neighbours reported about an argument. Following this, cops reached A-block in Vasant Enclave where the she lived. The woman was found dead in her bedroom while the body of her servant was found in the living room.

It is believed that it might be a case of robbery attempt as a motive behind the murders. Police suspects three people who used to work in the boutique with Lakhani.

After investigation, three accused were arrested have confessed to the crime. "One of accused Rahul Anwar was a tailor at the fashion designer's workshop. He committed the crime with two of his relatives in an attempt to loot," said police officer Ajay Chaudhary.

The incident has created terror in the mind of people around. Investigation is still on process.
