FM Arun Jaitley files fresh defamation suit of Rs 10 crore against Kejriwal
New Delhi : Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has filed a fresh defamation suit of Rs 10 crores against the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi High Court.
The case has been filed over the usage of word 'crook' by Arvind Kejriwal's lawyer Ram Jethmalani.
This is a separate case that the already running against Arvind Kejriwal and other five Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
The noted lawyer, during the cross-examination of the union minister on May 15 and May 17 in the Delhi high court, had referred Arun Jaitley as 'crook'.
Advocate Manik Dogra, who is representing Jaitley, said they had filed a fresh civil defamation suit against Kejriwal as he, through his counsel, had used abusive language in the open court, which was also recorded in the order sheet.
