Goofup alert! Rahul Gandhi calls Arjan Singh Air Marshal
New Delhi : No matter what, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi ends up doing a goof up at regular intervals. This time he condoled the death of Marshal Arjan Singh’s demise on Saturday, calling him an Air Marshal.
This is not a small error and that too from a leader who claims to be ready of leading a nation as Air Marshal is a three-star rank, while Marshal is a five-star rank. And interestingly Arjan Singh is the one and only Marshal in Indian Air Force.
Rahul Gandhi posted on Twitter: "A soldier & diplomat power excellence. Air Marshal Arjan Singh demise is an irreparable loss. India has lost a true hero. Deppeset condolences (sic)."
The tweet (as shown in the picture above) was later deleted and replaced with a correct one.
This is the second goof-up done by him within a matter of one month. Recently, he had said that the number of MPs in Lok Sabha was 546, instead of 545.
Marshal Arjan Singh passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was 97.
