Hafiz Saeed is a terrorist, reacts India over Pak PM remark

New Delhi : India on Wednesday recalled Hafiz Saeed as terrorist and master mind of 26/11 Mumbai blasts. Speaking to news agency ANI, Minister of State (MoS) for Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir asked Pakistan to take action against Hafiz Saeed otherwise India will.

"We won’t decide our nation’s strategy on basis of what Pakistan says. We consider Hafiz Saeed a terrorist. It will be good if Pakistan government takes action but even if they don’t, we will," MoS Ahir said.

India's reaction came after Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi defended Hafiz Saeed with claims that there is no case against him and honoured him with the word "sahib".

Abbasi was giving an interview to a news channel where he explained Saeed's release from the house arrest. He told Geo TV: "There is no case against Hafiz Saeed sahib in Pakistan."

However, Hafiz Saeed was freed in November last year after 10 months of house arrest following an order from the Lahore High Court.

India and the United States of America lashed out at Pakistan for the move. India even termed Pakistan as 'not serious' about the crucial terrorism issue under its territory.
