Hailstorm in Delhi; flight operations affected at airport
New Delhi : Strong winds, followed by heavy rainfall lashed Delhi on Monday evening. Traffic jams, waterlogging and disrupted flights were reported after the rain. Indigo airlines issued an advisory asking people to carry more time for delay that may occur due to bad weather condition.
"Raindrops and thunderstorms in Delhi may impact our flight operations. Please keep enough travel time in hand to avoid any hassle. Keep a check on your flight status. For any assistance, DM us on Twitter/Facebook," IndiGo airlines wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, power outage has also been reported in many parts of the national capital.
Earlier on Monday, the MeT department had issued a warning of thunderstorm and light to moderate rainfall.
