Hyderabad : Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday announced his plans of not entering into the electoral politics after getting a warning from God in the form of health issues. Most of the fans, who were waiting for the actor to turn into a politician, were left disheartened and they collected outside his residence with demands to change his decision.

Soon after the news was out, most of Rajinikanth followers thought that it is some kind of fake news and they started calling the office of Rajini Makkal Mandram. The office later said, "It hurts. But in a way, it was better that the decision was disclosed much in advance to the assembly polls. We were spending thousands of rupees every day as were recently instructed to form booth-level committees ahead of the assembly elections."

While there were some fans who blamed 2020 for being the worst year, there were some fans who said that it is very hard to digest the news.

For Rajini's fans. 2020 began with a flop of the much-hyped Darbar movie of their star. Now, it has also ended their political dreams.

On December 3, Rajinikanth had announced that he will be launching a political party and will also contest the Assembly Polls. He had appointed Ra Arjunamurthy as a Chief coordinator and Tamilaruvimanian as a supervisor for this purpose.
