Haryana, Maharashtra vote on Oct 15; fate to be decided on Oct 19

Election Commission on Friday announced voting dates for both Haryana and Maharashtra
The election in both the states will be held on October 15
The counting of votes will be done on October 19
16244 polling stations in Haryana, 90403 in Maharashtra: VS Sampath
Haryana has 90 assembly constituencies and Maharashtra has 288 : VS Sampath, Chief Election Commissioner
As per Supreme Court orders NOTA option will be available on EVM machines
Model Code of Conduct comes into effect immediately: VS Sampath
Haryana has 1.65 cr voters, Maharashtra has 8.25 cr voters: EC
