Haryana opens all borders connecting Delhi

New Delhi : After a ruling from Delhi High Court, the Haryana government decided to open its all borders with the adjoining Delhi for essential services and people with e-pass issued from Delhi.

The Delhi High Court decision comes as a big relief for the people who were employed with the essential services and had to move because of it.

Besides, a large number of Gurugram residents who got stuck in Delhi due to the lockdown can now attempt to return home after obtaining special permissions from the concerned authorities.

"We are committed to following the directions of the high court and accordingly have given directions to law enforcement agencies to allow people associated with essential services and valid passes issued in Delhi," a Haryana Police officer said.

Soon after the relaxations were announced, people were seen queuing up near the Delhi-Gurugram border with valid ID card and e-passes.

Police personnel deployed at the borders opened one lane and allowed people to pass through after a complete verification of the documents.
