New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday extended greetings on the occasion of Holi 2022 - the Hindu festival of colours and love.

Extending his wishes to the nation, PM Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, "Wish you all a very Happy Holi, may this festival of love, care and brotherhood bring colours of happiness in your life."


President of India said he hopes that the festival of colours brings a new light in the lives of people.


Holi is an ancient Hindu festival, also known as the festival of love, colours and also the festival of springs. It is also celebrated to mark the eternal and divine love of lord Krishna and Radha. This year, the Holi festival is being celebrated on March 18, 2022.
