Jammu and Kashmir government allows delegation to meet Omar Abdullah

Srinagar : Two months after Indian government removed Article 370 of the Indian constitution from Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated it into two Union Territories, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday allowed a delegation to meet detained NC leaders Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah.

National Conference Spokesperson Madan Mantoo was quoted by news agency ANI as saying, “Jammu and Kashmir Government has allowed a delegation of National Conference from Jammu, to meet party president Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah, who are currently under detention.”

On October 3, the NC had requested J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik to allow a delegation of senior party leaders from Jammu to meet the party leaders who are currently under detention in Srinagar.
