Jammu : An avalanche has hit army camp in Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir. One Jawan lost his life while many are believed to be trapped under the snow.
Army sources have said that the death toll may rise.
Operations at Srinagar airports were also suspended on Wednesday morning following heavy snowfall.
The avalanche warning was also issued by the MeT department but no appropriate action left Jawans in the tragic situation.
