New Delhi : Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida arrived in India on Monday on a 2-day visit and tried different Indian snacks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi which included golgappas in the menu. The official Twitter handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the video of his friend Fumio Kishida, who can be seen asking for one more plate of golgappa after trying the mint flavour water balls.

The 2 leaders were also seen trying aam panna, lassi and fried idlies in the lush green Buddha Jayanti Park in the national capital during their discussion to strengthen the cultural ties.

Sharing the video on social media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi captioned, "My friend PM Kishida enjoyed Indian snacks including golgappas." Watch video below:

While having a chit chat session at the park, the 2 leaders were also seen sipping tea from an earthen cup.

"One of the aspects which connects India and Japan is the teachings of Lord Buddha. PM Kishida and I went to the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi. Sharing some glimpses," wrote PM Narendra Modi as he shared a couple of photos of the 2 leaders taking a stroll at Buddha Jayanti Park.

The 2 leaders also paid floral tribute to the statue of Buddha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gifted his Japanese counterpart a sapling of Bal Bodhi tree.
