New Delhi : Apparently, Bollywood star Salman Khan will have to some more days in jail as the District and Sessions Judge scheduled to hear the bail hearing in blackbuck poaching case has been transferred by the Rajasthan High Court.

The Rajasthan High Court has transferred Sessions Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi along with other 87 district judges.

Mr. Joshi was responsible to take the decision on the bail petition filed by the actor in Jodhpur Sessions Court on Saturday.

Salman’s advocate, on Thursday appealed for a bail of his client following his conviction in the 20-year-old case. During the court hearing on Friday, Salman’s lawyer Mahesh Bora sought suspension of the sentence, citing ambiguity in the trial court’s judgement. But public prosecutor Pokar Ram Bishnoi opposed it and requested sessions court judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi to first call the trial court’s records.

“There are strong evidences against the convict and he should not be released on bail without going through the trial court’s judgement,” public prosecutor Bishnoi said.

Salman was sentenced to five years in imprisonment after being held guilty of killing two blackbucks in Jodhpur’s Kankani village in 1998, during the shooting of his movie 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'

Sisters Alvira and Arpita, were present at the sessions court during hearing of ‘Bhaijan’s’ case. The actor is currently locked up in Jodhpur Central Jail.
