Kamala Mills fire case: Mojo Bistro's co-owner surrenders before Mumbai Police

Mumbai : Mojo Bistro's co-owner has surrendered before Mumbai Police in connection to Kamala Mills fire incident that had killed 14 people. Yug Tuli was on the run ever since the incident had occurred.

"We have arrested Yug Tuli, after he surrendered before police today at NM Joshi Marg police station," S Jaykumar, Additional Commissioner of Police ( Central ) told news agency Press Trust of India.

Yug Tuli will be produced before the court on Tuesday.

Yug Pathak, son of former police commissioner of Pune KK Pathak, and Yug Tuli's partner at Mojo's Bistro, was arrested earlier this month. All three owners of 1 Above were also taken into custody on January 10.

A case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered against them.

According to a report submitted by fire department, flying embers from the charcoal used for hookahs reached the curtains at the upscale pub and ignited the fire. Both the restaurants had illegal structures and flouted fire safety norms, the fire department said.
