Krishna Land in Uttar Pradesh: All we know about UP theme park so far

Lucknow : Looking for a good theme park in India? Well, you don't have to stick with Disney land anymore as the Uttar Pradesh Government has reportedly proposed 'Krishna Land' to keep the entertainment rolling.

A UP official said, “We plan to reconstruct the entire stages of Krishna’s life. There will be a jail where Devki and Vasudev were imprisoned as it was here that Krishna was born. We will also create an artificial river like Yamuna that is linked to several aspects of Krishna’s life.”

Here is all we know about Krishna Land so far:

• Krishna Land will be a theme park made on the lines of Disney land

• The theme park has been proposed in Mathura, which is also the birth place of Lord Krishna

• UP tourism officials have been asked to submit a blue print at their earliest

• The government aims to begin Krishna Land construction by this year itself

• Construction of Krishna Land, to be made with a motive to increase tourism, will be funded by World Bank.
