Bhopal : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas in memory of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on November 15. The event has been dedicated to tribal warriors and PM will also dedicate the country's first public-private partnership-built Habibganj railway station at Jamboori Maidan in Bhopal. 

According to a report, the event will see around two lakh tribals from across Madhya Pradesh and the entire venue is being decorated with tribal art and pictures of tribal legends.

PM Narendra Modi will spend around four hours in Bhopal, including 1 hour and 15 minutes on the stage. To decorate the stage five domes and big pandals are being made by around 300 workers. The report mentions that the state government will be spending around Rs 23 crores in total to the event, Rs 13 crores will be spent only on the transportation of the people to the programme to be held at Jamboree Maidan.

Over Rs 12 crore for is transportation, food and lodging of people coming from 52 districts and over Rs 9 crore is for five domes, tents, decoration and publicity. There are 47 seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes in the state. The BJP won 29 in 2008; in 2013 the figure increased by 31, but in 2018 out of 47 BJP got only 16 seats.

World-Class Railway Station Habibganj

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be dedicating India's first world class railway station Habibganj on November 15. It has been built under the PPP model for a cost of Rs 450 crores.

The railway station will also provide glimpses of world heritage sites such as the Sanchi Stupa, Bhojpur temple, Bhimbetka, Birla Mandi, Tawa Dam and the Tribal Museum.

Meanwhile, the state government has also urged the Centre to change the name of the station from Habibganj to Gond ruler Rani Kamalapati. Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tribal population in the state.
