Make Mamata Banerjee's medical records public: BJP

Kolkata : Hours after the Election Commission ruled out attack on CM Mamata Banerjee during a rally in which she got injured, the Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded to make her medical records public to know what kind of bone injury she received.

Claiming that Mamata Banerjee faked the injury to gain sympathy of voters, BJP said that it is case of a violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

"Several pertinent questions have also been raised in the public domain regarding the exact nature of the bone injury and the actual treatment received," said the BJP in its letter.

"We sincerely urge you to seek details from the treating hospital i.e- SSKM regarding diagnostic and treatment history of her injury and whether necessary SOPs and conventional medical guidelines have been followed. It is extremely important that the entire medical records of her treatment be put out in public domain," BJP demanded.

Earlier, the Election Commission ruled out attack on Mamata Banerjee during Nandigram rally and said that she got injured in an accident.

The poll body clarified that there are no evidences to prove that an attack was carried out on her.
