MDI Gurugram students perform Surya Namaskar on International Yoga Day

Gurugram : Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram celebrated International Yoga day in its campus in wee hours. More than 500 Students of 2017-2019 batch PGPM, PGP-HRM and PGP-IM as well as faculty members and non -teaching staff participated in program.  

The program was conducted by yoga expert Dr. Navdeep Joshi, founder Nav Yoga. He had conducted several  Yog and meditation workshops in various corporate. Students started the day by performing surya namaskar with the purpose of purifying mind. They also performed various aasans, from head to toe. 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. C. P. Shrimali, Acting Director, MDI Gurugram threw light on benefits of yoga. He explained that cool mind and healthy body is the basic need of a human being and this can be achieved by doing yoga. 

A student from PGPM Ritika Singla said “It was a good experience for me as this will help me in managing stress.”

International day of Yoga or commonly and unofficially referred as Yoga Day is celebrated annually on June 21st since in inception in 2015 by the Narendra Modi Government.
