Mithun Chakraborty's son Mahaakshay's wedding called off

Mumbai : The scheduled marriage of Mithun Chakraborty's son Mahaakshay has been called off after the police arrived to investigate a complaint of rape and cheating filed by a woman against the groom.

The development comes even after Mahaakshay was given anticipatory bail by the court in the case. Mimoh's marriage was scheduled at his posh hotel in Udhagamandalam (Ooty) in Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu.

But, the bride's family left soon after the cops arrived at the venue, leaving the ceremony cancelled. Investigations are on in the matter.

On Thursday, the Bombay High Court had refused to grant any interim relief from arrest to Bali and Mahaakshay. After the duo moved the Delhi court, Special Judge Ashutosh Kumar granted the relief to Bali and Mahaakshay saying they have deep roots in society and are not likely to abscond.
