Modi Government is committed to the development of women: MP Sehrawat

New Delhi : Management Education and Research Institute, MERI College, Janakpuri in collaboration with International Business Startup and Entrepreneurs Association (IBSEA) organized International Women's Day on Saturday in the college auditorium of MERI , in which about 80 Lady Professionals including lady faculties of MERI were felicitated with Sashakt Naari, Samriddha Bharat Samman Awards, an initiative to honor extraordinary women who have played a pivotal role in shaping the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Expressing her views as the chief guest in the program, Ms. Kamaljeet Sahrawat, MP, said that the Modi government is fully committed to the development of women. She said that the central government is bringing various schemes for the development of urban as well as rural women. Ms. Sehrawat called upon women to pay attention to their family and children along with being professional, so that Indian culture can be inculcated in them.
At the beginning of the program, Vice President of MERI Group of Institutions, Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, in his welcome speech said that the contribution of women is important in the development of family, society and country. In the program Dr. Anshumaan Singh, Chairman of IBSEA, Ms Elisabeth Strand Vigtel Counsellor for Science, Technology and Higher Education Norway, Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, Prof Sharad Sinha NCERT, Wing Commander Tanushree Badal , Summa Madda DCP PSO to Hon’ble Vice President of India , Dr Anitha Sharma Ex Diplomat Denmark Embassy, Vastu Consultant Dr. Neeta S. Kapoor, Dr. Amrita Kaur of Central Sanskrit University (Delhi), expressed their views in the program.
On this occasion, Dr. Deepshikha Kalra Dean MERI, Advisor Dr. Rakesh Khurana, Prof Dr Ramakant Diwedi Head CIS, teachers and staff were present. The outline of the program was prepared in coordination with Dr Tapash Dey Group Head HR. The stage was ably conducted by Ms Rishika Singh of IBSEA. The program saw performances by students of MERI and was very well attended and appreciated by participants and concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. SK Pandey, HOD BAJMC of MERI.
