New Delhi : Uttar Pradesh Elections are due for the next month and a lot of political leaders are switching parties to check their fortunes; in a recent, Mulayam Singh Yadav's daughter-in-law has joined Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday.

In a move that is being seen as tit-for-tat after three BJP ministers joined Samajwadi Party, Haryana BJP in-charge Arun Yadav tweeted: "Aparna Yadav, the wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger son Pratik will join BJP tomorrow in the presence of Yogi Adityanath at 10 am."



Akhilesh Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav, has emerged out as one of the key contenders against BJP in the upcoming elections. On Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee also backed him and said that she will campaign for him in the upcoming elections.

Three former UP ministers who were welcomed by Akhilesh Yadav in his party are Swami Prasad Maurya, Dharam Singh Saini, and Dara Singh Chauhan.

Vinay Shakya, Roshan Lal Verma, Mukesh Verma, and Bhagwati Sagar were among the MLAs who also took the same route after the exodus.

For those who are unaware, Aparna Yadav had contested elections from Lucknow Cantt in 2017 on a Samajwadi Party ticket.

UP votes in seven phases between February 10 and March 7; results will be out on March 10.
