New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed Lok Sabha and spoke on several topics like coronavirus and the nation's fight on it, politics around nation's image and Congress destruction which may keep the party away from power.

Speaking at the Lok Sabha, PM Modi said, "a lot of things have been said recently, but nothing can be greater than the nation. Politics must not be done in a way that hampers the nation's image."

"Congress is working with divide and rule policy," he added.

PM Narendra Modi's attack on Congress

Prime Minister Modi pointed out how people of India in several states have rejected Congress party's rule in years.

"Nagaland had last voted for Congress in 1998, Odisha voted in 1995, Goa in 1994, Tripura had last voted in 1988; the situation is even worse in major states like UP, Bihar and Gujarat, the congress was last voted to power in 1985. In West Bengal, people had last given chance to Congress in 1972. In Tamil Nadu, Congress managed in 1962.

"The question here is not about the election results, the question is on the intent of the party; even after staying in power for such a long time, why people have cornered the party," PM Modi said.

India stood strong against coronavirus

Coronavirus came as the biggest pandemic in last 100 years. PM Modi said, "There were doubts on India that the nation may fail in fighting against the coronavirus. But, look at the situation now. India is set to achieve 100 per cent first dose and nearly 80 per cent of the double dose has been administered till date."

"Congress tried to make benefit over coronavirus situation too. When the government was asking people to stay where they are, Congress was distributing free tickets to people to spread in the nation and intentionally spread the virus.

"Politics over human lives cannot be accepted," PM Modi said.

Atmanirbhar India

Congress always take name of Mahatma Gandhi but do not promote his teaching of Swadeshi. When we promote made in India products, Congress party is the first to not support the initiative.

Do Not Want Power in 100 years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with a disclaimer of speaking in polite manner, said that the actions, words and activities of Congress party suggest that they have made up their mind to not come to power in 100 years.

"When you have made up your mind, I have started preparation accordingly," said PM Modi.
