Need of the hour is to get fully vaccinated: Centre

New Delhi : India on Wednesday registered two cases of omicron variant of coronavirus in Karnataka.  The two cases were found via genome sequencing.

The centre has said that there is no need to panic at the moment and the need of the hour is to get fully vaccinated at earliest. 

“Increased COVID-19 vaccine uptake need of the hour, do not delay in getting fully vaccinated,” said VK Paul, Member-Health, NITI Aayog.

Two men in Karnataka have tested positive for omicron coronavirus. Both of them have returned from an International trip.

The government has also traced their contacts and they are also being tested  for omicron.
