Nine Lok Sabha MPs to be suspended for throwing papers at chair

New Delhi : Nine Lok Sabha MPs namely Gurjeet Singh Aujla, TN Prathapan, Manickam Tagore, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Hibi Eden, Jothimani Sennimalai, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, V Vaithilingam, AM Ariff are likely to be suspended for throwing pieces of paper and showing disrespectful behaviour towards the Chair, reported ANI.

The Opposition members marched into the Well of the House, raising slogans and holding placard against the Pegasus and farmers' issues.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, on the other hand, slammed the Opposition parties for creating ruckus in Lok Sabha. They said that the MPs ashamed world’s largest democracy with their actions.

Amid protest by opposition members over the Pegasus spying row and farmers” issue, the Lok Sabha was adjourned multiple times on Wednesday.

“There is a way to protest. But today, the opposition has damaged the dignity and decorum of the temple of our democracy,” Union Minister Anurag Thakur told reporters outside the parliament building.

He further said the opposition MPs have “ashamed the world’s largest democracy by their condemnable actions”

The house has been disrupted several times since the beginning of Monsoon session.
