  • New Delhi : Even after 15 months, Nirbhaya gangrape case is haunting almost every Indian for various reasons.

  • In a recent development the alleged rapist Mukesh gave an interview from Tihar Jail and blamed the victim for the whole incident.

  • In the interview, which is to be aired on BBC on March 8, Kumar says, "A decent girl won’t roam around at nine o’clock at night. A girl is far more responsible for rape than a boy. When being raped, she shouldn’t fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape. Then they’d have dropped her off after ‘doing her’."

  • He also spoke about the death penalty, which has been awarded to him for the henious crime, and its consequences on women security.

  • "The death penalty will make things even more dangerous for girls. Now when they rape, they won’t leave the girl like we did. They will kill her."

  • Taking a stringent action against the documentary, Delhi Police commissioner BS Bassi filed an FIR for conducting a shoot inside Tihar Jail.

  • “This was a ghastly crime and the law has been broken, we shall investigate the case. We are going to move the court against the broadcast of such inputs,” Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said on Tuesday.
