Our Ram has arrived, says emotional PM Modi after Pran-Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya
New Delhi : Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya was held with full fervour with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, performing the rituals during the unveiling of Ram Lalla Idol.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Ram Lalla will no longer stay in a tent, after the new idol was consecrated at the Ayodhya Temple on Monday. "Our Ram has arrived," said the Prime Minister after performing protesters ceremony at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
He also apologised to Lord Ram and said, "There must have been something lacking in our efforts, sacrifice and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Today, the work has been completed and I believe Lord Ram will forgive us today."
He also added that this is the holiest moment for all the Shri Ram devotees as they can experience the warmth in all corner of nation and the world.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath joined Prime Minister Modi during ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla idol inside the sanctorum of the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya earlier on Monday.
"The construction of Ram Mandir has sparked a new energy amongst people; January 22, 2024 is not just a date, but it is a start of new era," said PM Modi.
He also thanked Supreme Court for a landmark verdict given on November 9, 2019 to build Ram Mandir. "Ram's existence was questioned... I would like to express my thanks to the Supreme Court for doing justice and the temple was built in accordance with the law," he added.
It must be noted that Ram Temple delivers on a key 35-year-old promise made by Bharatiya Janata Party with a title slogan – "Ram Mandir Yahi Banega."
