Pakistan, Bangladesh citizens in India must be thrown out irrespective of religion: Raj Thackeray

Mumbai : Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday said that all illegal immigrants from the country like Pakistan and Bangladesh must be thrown out irrespective of their religion.

He claimed that the implementation of Citizenship Bill is mandatory as India will not be able to take up extra burden and will have to compromise while catering the need of its own people.

"India is not a dharamshala, people coming in from the neighbouring nations must be thrown out. India had not taken the contract of humanity," said Raj Thackeray during a press conference.

He said that this is an issue of concern and must not be seen with communal angle.

"You cannot take this issue from Hindu-Muslim angle, whoever is from the other nation must be thrown out," he said.

"We are not able to cater the demands of our own people, how we can accept to addition of more people in our nation," he added.

However, he mentioned that the Bill is discriminatory and Muslims have the right reasons of fearing from it.

Meanwhile, protests have been intensified across the nation against the passage of the Citizenship Bill.
