Under the realm of army in India, only Army, Navy and Air Force come into action. These three are under the Ministry of Defense and the President of India is their supreme commander. The Indian Army are also called for help in any emergency. For example, during the past year, the help of army was taken during the floods of Kerala. Talking about paramilitary forces, it comes under the Home Ministry. India has the largest number of paramilitary forces. Most of them are mainly in the country or in front of the border in the peace environment.
About Paramilitary Force in India
The paramilitary forces include many different army personnel of the country. These are mainly discussed by CRPF and BSF. Apart from this, ITBP, CISF, Assam Rifles and SSB are also included. The number of paramilitary forces in the country is about 10 lakh.
Now, if we talk about CRPF, they are usually deployed within the country in terrorism and naxal-affected areas. They are also deployed during the election or in the VVIP movement. At the same time, the BSF or the Border Security Force is imposed on border duty beyond Bangladesh and Pakistan. BSF then lives on the border when the atmosphere is of peace.
