New Delhi : Goa gears up for growth with a ₹1330 crore infrastructure push: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects in Goa today, marking a significant step towards the state's progress. These initiatives, spanning education, sports, water treatment, waste management, and tourism, aim to propel Goa towards a brighter future.

From education to infrastructure, a holistic approach: The inauguration of the National Institute of Technology's permanent campus and the National Institute of Watersports campus underscores the government's commitment to educational development. Additionally, projects like the integrated waste management facility and the 100 MLD water treatment plant address crucial environmental concerns. Tourism, a vital pillar of Goa's economy, receives a boost with the foundation stone laying for the Passenger Ropeway connecting Panaji and Reis Magos and the development of modern tourist infrastructure.

"Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas" in action: PM Modi emphasized the mantra of "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas" (inclusive development) and lauded the peaceful coexistence of diverse communities in Goa. He highlighted the "Double-Engine Government's" role in accelerating this progress, citing achievements like saturation of government schemes and record investments in infrastructure.

Focus on welfare and empowerment: The Prime Minister announced several welfare initiatives, including guaranteeing two crore houses to the poor and expanding PM Awas Yojna and Ayushman Yojna. He also highlighted the Matsya Sampada Yojna, which will benefit the fishing community, and lauded the formation of a dedicated Ministry for Fisheries and increased support for fish breeders.

Tourism: A key driver of growth: Recognizing Goa's tourism potential, PM Modi emphasized the development of conference tourism and highlighted major events like the India Energy Week and various G20 meetings held in the state. He also acknowledged the contribution of football to Goan culture and honored Brahmanand Shankhwalkar with the Padma Award.

A collective effort for a brighter future: Calling for collaborative efforts, PM Modi urged everyone to contribute to Goa's progress. With this ₹1330 crore investment and a focus on "Saturation is true secularism," Goa seems well-positioned for accelerated development and a brighter future for all.
